Welcome to the
Institute for Artificial Intelligence
The Institute for Artificial Intelligence (IAI) is part of the Faculty of Computer Sciences at the University Bremen.
Head of the institute is Prof. Michael Beetz.
The IAI is member of the Center for Computing Technologies (TZI) at the University Bremen.
Artificial Intelligence
Methods based on Artificial Intelligence are major sources of innovative and successful applications in computer science. In many sectors in industrz and daily life the use of knowledge-based methods allows a high potential for added value, productivity and higher quality of life.
Research
Research at the IAI takes place on the two levels of basic research and applied research. Both levels follow three main areas
- intelligent autonomous systems,
- wearable intelligence and
- production & logistics.
To embed artificial intelligence in technical systems a broad field of theories and techniques has to be merged:
Development
The research in all mentioned levels and areas is done in several R&D-projects.
Basic Research | Applied Research | |
---|---|---|
intelligent autonomous systems | Robohow.Cog | Sherpa |
wearable intelligence | ViCon | SiWear |
production & logistics | SiWear |
More detailled information and even more projects are given here.
